Local Christian Center Breaks Ground For Church
The Sandpoint Christian Center held a ground breaking on Sunday August 21 for a new interdenominational charismatic church on N Boyer. Designed by Royal Shields Jr the 68 by 84 foot building will seat 275 to 300 on the main floor with a 200 seat balcony and include a full basement nursery classrooms restrooms and a Fellowship Hall. Upstair features include a Prayer room office main sanctuary Narthex and restrooms. Pastor David Nelson and Elders Albert Carlson and Royal Shields Sr expect a center for Bible seminars a Christian School and evangelistic outreaches as it moves from IOOF Hall where they met since September 19 1976.
