Moose Dinner Draws Sportsmen to Sandpoint Hall

The Bonner County Sportsmen's Association hosts a moose dinner at Sandpoint Community Hall at 5 p.m. on September 14. Tickets cost 7 dollars for a chance at a trophy Canadian moose guided by Bob Kjos, with another raffle offering a Ruger rifle. 250 attendees expected. A phase wire burned early this morning cutting power to about 50 homes in Selle. Northern Lights said repair crews shut down electricity in nearby areas to isolate the faulty line and restore service after an hour.

Gertrude A. Farrar of Sandpoint, 58, told police her home was broken into about ten days earlier. A burglar shattered a bedroom window, entered the residence, and took a ring and food, with total loss and damages estimated at 100 dollars.
