Ben Franklin Store Burgled in Sandpoint Heist

Sandpoint Police report a burglary at the Ben Franklin store Tuesday night. Over $600 in merchandise vanished including 26 watches seven electric shavers a hair dryer knives flashlights and batteries. Investigators say the thief hid in the false ceiling and exited by window after breaking a rear door window. A silver sheriff's badge was stolen and a Bridgman car was also taken from the same night.

Auto Mishap Injures Man in Sandpoint Intersection

A 59 year old Samuels man Harold C Perry was treated and released at Bonner General Hospital for injuries from a two vehicle crash at the Oak and Sixth Streets intersection in Sandpoint. Calvin Crape 33 of Sandpoint drove a van while Perry drove a pickup. roughly $300 damage to the Crape vehicle and total loss to Perry. Citations pending.
