Hobo Dragged Mile By Train Survives
A hobo was dragged about a mile from a boxcar perch when a freight train jolted and slowed near West Hope. Charles I. Higgens, 68, of Brentwood, Mich., survived with cuts and bruises as fellow riders and Roy Louks grabbed him before he fell. Police and hospital reports listed him as resting in satisfactory condition.
