North Idaho 4 H Horses Set for Bonner County Show
More than 100 youngsters from nine northern Idaho counties will compete at the Sixth Annual North Idaho District 4 H Horse Show at Bonner County Fairgrounds on Saturday. Judge Al Geesey of Ephrata Washington will preside over fitting and showing classes with ribbons awarded through sixth place in junior, intermediate and senior divisions. Local sponsors will donate silver trays to first place winners and a potluck lunch will be open to spectators.

Forest Fire in Okanogan National Forest Contained
A 275 acre forest fire in rugged Okanogan National Forest was contained after a 250 man hand-built line was completed. Helicopters and air tankers aided ground crews. the fire is believed man caused. Two injured by falling rock are in good condition.

Idaho fisheries budget boosts for Willow Creek and Gray's Lake
The fisheries bureau increased the current fiscal year budget by 3000 to treat Willow Creek and Gray's Lake outlet in eastern Idaho and to remove the bag limit under amended fishing regulations. Core approved 616.5 acres of federal lands as an addition to Sterling Wildlife Management Area at 1541 dollars. Okayed 1.72 acres of land with 533 feet of frontage at Loffs Bay 15 miles south of Coeur d Alene on the west side of Coeur d Alene lake for 30950 dollars.

Anna Roe 74 died August 11 1975 born November 25 1900 in Minden Nebraska married Charles C Roe on July 1 1919 moved to the area in 1918 and worked at Bonner General Hospital retiring in 1962. Survived by a large family and funeral held August 14 at Moon Chapel. Thomas Walter Mitchell 84 died August 13 1975 born August 4 1891 in Sidney Australia married Agnes Matson moved to area in 1972 member Church of England survived by spouse two daughters and two sons with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family services at Moon Chapel Friday at 1 pm Cremation then Lakeview Cemetery.
