New York police report Stacy Moskowitz aged 20 of Brooklyn died at Kings County Hospital after a Sunday shooting in which Robert Violante also aged 20 was wounded and lost an eye. The attacks bring the count to six dead and seven wounded by the so called .44 caliber killer.

Idaho Truck-Weight Study Set On U S 95
The Idaho Transportation Department will weigh and inspect trucks on U S Highway 95 south of Sandpoint August 8 9 as part of a statewide study ending August 23. A team of 11 college students and a supervisor will conduct the survey lasting about two to three minutes per truck. The effort aims to aid highway pavement design and monitor commodity movements for the Federal Highway Administration.
