Railroad Crane-Car Tangles Power Line Drains Dover Area
About 1,000 Pacific Power customers lost electricity for an hour when a railroad crane-car rolled through a PP&L line near Dover. PP&L reports no injuries as the crane with extended boom damaged the line and cut power to customers mostly south and west of Sandpoint. The outage began around 9 a.m.

Trio jailed in Feb burglary of Loman Tire Center
Det. Chuck Bastian said Norman D. Adkins 24 Spirit Lake Howard A. Watson 21 Hayden Lake and a 16 year old Westmond youth were charged with first degree burglary in the Feb 5 break in of Loman Tire Center. Six tires were taken and four missing tires have been recovered. Suspects were arrested after a two week information lead. Bond not set.
