Ross F Sybrant of Careywood Idaho died Friday October 18 at Bonner General Hospital at 79. He was born October 25 1895 in Perch Nebraska and married Anna Peterson in 1940 at Gillett Wyoming. Leona Mae McQuaide of Sandpoint died April 20 at 86. born August 15 1888 in Iowa and married twice, first to Charles Palmer then Richard McQuaide. Services for Sybrant are April 22 at Moon Chapel with Jack Love officiating. McQuaide services April 23 at Moon Chapel with Rev. Harold Huff officiating. Interments at Rest Lawn and Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Sheriff logs detail three rocks shattered a storm door at Corner Beauty Shop in Sagle causing about 45 dollars in damage. Guards Stop Escape Try at Idaho State Prison
Two convicts escaped their cellhouse at Boise state prison Sunday night before a tower guard fired over their heads, forcing Tony Watson and Gary Gardner to dive and surrender. Watson, of Lewiston, is serving 10 years for manslaughter while Gardner, transferred from Nevada, faces 99 years for second degree murder. Guards recaptured them within about 30 yards and placed them in the maximum security building.
