Fire damages Sandpoint home of Pomerinkes
Pomerinke and wife Georgia with baby in arms returned from the laundromat Friday to find firemen at their home at 327 Marion Sandpoint chopping through the roof. Fire began in attic due to a leaking oil stove causing extensive damage to front room bedroom ceiling and attic. The two alarm response started at 1 20 p m with two trucks. Handled by Sandpoint Fire Department Chief Art Chubb noted ownership disputed between Harold Marley and Marley’s son in law of Coeur d Alene. The family had $5000 insurance on contents.

Mrs. Don McCormick of Sandpoint returns to Montana State University for the 47th annual Woman's Day program on April 26 in the Montana Ballroom. The former Edith Ann Olsen earned a 1965 bachelor degree in home economics and has since worked in home service advising, business home economics groups, and as a veterinary spouse in Sandpoint.
