Previously, production exemptions allowed tax‑free purchases for lumber mills and mining contracts. the change aligns logging and mining contracting with established regulations for farming and land leveling.

The House signaled approval for a private developer built federal building in Sandpoint. After a House Senate conference resolves differences the President must sign before the General Services Administration moves to provide space. The plan lets private builders construct to government specs and lease to the government for 10 to 30 years, eventually transferring ownership.

Idaho Adds $10,000 for Coyote Control

The Idaho Fish and Game Commission approved an extra $10,000 to bolster coyote control by the U S Fish and Wildlife Service for the remainder of the fiscal year. Director Joseph C Greenley said the sum is in addition to the annual $25,000 from fish and game funds for predator control work.
