Boxing Tourney Proves A Hit In Sandpoint
The Sandpoint Boxing Club hosted a standing room only amateur card last Saturday night. 16 bouts culminated in Jim Berg of Sandpoint winning the main event by split decision while Dick Gance fought to a draw in the semi final. Organizers Iz Lefebvre and Karl Berg hailed financial and artistic success and expect two or three tournaments next season. Profits will fund equipment needs for local boxers.
