Elizabeth E Yakley 89 died at Bonner General Hospital on April 6 born April 5 1888 in Carrol County Arkansas married Marion F Yakley who died in 1955 moved to Hope Idaho in 1915 operated an apple orchard and grape vineyard and mailed gift boxes of apples in the U S later moved to Sandpoint in 1956 member of Church of God Sandpoint survived by daughter Rachel Bell Thom three grandchildren four great grandchildren two sisters in Oklahoma funeral Saturday April 9 Moon Chapel at 710 am Rev James Leer officiating interment Pinecrest Memorial Park

Kathryn H. Ekins 73 died Sunday at Bonner General Hospital. Born November 3, 1903 in Sagle Idaho she spent most of her life there with a period in Republic Washington. She married Carl Ekins in Sandpoint in August 1926 and was a member of Southside Community Church Westmond. She is survived by son Velores Ekins of Everett Washington and two step grandsons.

Western Airlines to terminate Pocatello to Montana flights
Western Airlines will end service from Pocatello to Montana on July 1 due to poor profitability. Salt Lake City connections will remain available, and two extra Pocatello to Salt Lake flights will add seven seats for Gate City travelers, with morning and afternoon departures to improve connections.
