Sandpoint service station operator charged in murder-for-hire plot
John Henry Stever 48 of Sandpoint the Husky Service Station operator was arrested on a charge of attempt to commit murder after hiring a sheriff deputy posing as a hit man to kill his wife Helen Stever Kennemar. He paid 380 dollars in installments including 127 for airfare with surveillance on all actions. Stever was held without bond and arraignment was planned.

Pickup hits power pole cuts service to 1300 customers
