Idaho student pleads guilty in marijuana plant case
Ronald Wayne Blockwood, 2, a College of Idaho student in Caldwell, Idaho, pleaded guilty to unlawfully possessing marijuana and was fined 150 dollars with costs. A narcotics official noted growing even one plant could incur a five year term and up to 15 000 dollars, though he received a suspended 30 day jail sentence. The arrest followed a dorm room find of a small planter for seedlings. Idaho law allows felony charges under the Uniform Controlled Substances Act regardless of plant size.

Supreme Court limits state radiation rules for power plants
The Supreme Court ruled that states may not impose stricter radioactive waste standards than the federal government for nuclear plants. The decision affirms a Minnesota case, with several states backing Minnesota that state laws can supplement, not override, federal 규ulations while Houston-like.

Rattlers Bite Third Person In Week
A 16 year old boy in Granada Hills is the third person bitten by rattlesnakes in the LA area this week. He was bitten on the left hand by a three foot snake in his garden and received antivenom flown from Saugus to Granada Hills Community Hospital where he was listed as critical, then later stable. The bites are linked to unseasonably warm weather waking snakes from hibernation earlier than usual.
