Rev Ernest Jernigan life and character remembered
Ernest Jernigan born February 12 1869 died in Atlanta Georgia April 17 1907. He grew up in a Christian home joining the Methodist church at about age ten and lived a devout life full of piety. He served as secretary of the Methodist Sunday school in Louisville and later worked as a local preacher while advocating a godly life and strong fraternal loyalties as a Knight of Pythias and a Mason. He was universally esteemed and never spoken ill of in life or memory.

Boy Mangled At Saw Mill In Tifton Ga May 9
Eight year old Barney Livingston son of William Livingston of Fender was playing with another boy at P D Phillips saw mill in Tifton when he was caught by a whirling shaft.
