Wreck on Sandersville Railroad Injures Several Passenger
A Sunday afternoon Sandersville railroad wreck near Wilkerson, due to a broken rail, derailed a passenger coach. Injured include Miss Corinne Hendrix with a sprained spine, Rector J. P. Webster with a broken collar bone, Arthur Hall with three ribs and an arm broken, plus Capt Ben Brookins and others lightly hurt. The train continued on a relief coach and baggage car after repairs. this is the first wreck under the current management.

Mr E P Wood was accidentally shot in the arm at his home in the city on Saturday. He received medical attention and is reported in stable condition.

Wounded Wood Not Permanently Impaired After Accident
Last Saturday morning E P Wood injured his right arm when his shotgun misfired while preparing for a country hunt. He received medical care at Dr Rawlings Sanitarium and is expected to recover. Baptism ceremony for 76-year-old blind mother Mary Ann Fleetwood
On Sunday Rev. J. M. Cutler administered the baptism to Mrs. Mary Ann Fleetwood, who at 76 was blind, and welcomed her into the Methodist church. Her children and grandchildren witnessed the touching ceremony.

The March session of Washington Superior Court convened Monday at 9 oclock with Judge B T Rawlings and Solicitor-General Alf Herrington. Ambush Fire Threatens Wilkes County Planter Don Jordan
In Washington Georgia on March 10 two murders have shaken the district. A masked assailant fired on prominent Wilkes county planter Don Jordan at the same site where Barney Smith was killed last week. Five shots missed, one bullet grazing the saddle as darkness hindered identify the shooter. Citizens fear for safety after nightfall.

Fire destroys Dublin livery stables and 200 horses
In Dublin Georgia on Tuesday morning the livery stables of W Parker were burned. The conflagration killed about 200 horses and damaged buggies and wagons. The stable, owned by C M Tripp, carried $500 insurance. Parker's property had none. The blaze, believed incendiary, left many countrymen’ s horses killed and caused several thousand dollars in losses.

Turner Praises Africa in Sermon at Mt Zion
Bishop Henry M. Turner of Atlanta preached to a packed Mt Zion colored church near Davisboro praising Africa as the negro’s best country and urging emigration there. He expressed sympathy for Japan in the Russo Japanese war but noted Russia aided the negro more than any other civilized nation and warned the race is dying out with shorter lifespans than in slavery days.
