Washington County Medical Association held an annual gathering at the Julida Hotel last Thursday with all county physicians in attendance. Officers were elected including Dr. O L Rogers as president and Dr. J H Evans as vice president. Dr R H Thigpen became secretary and treasurer.

Georgia editors to meet in Sandersville June sixth
The Georgia editors will gather in Sandersville from June 6 to June 6 for the annual meeting, expecting the largest attendance. President W E Coleman of Cedartown has announced the event begins June 6, with editors and families leaving June 8 for Atlanta to travel to the Jamestown exposition for Georgia Day on June 10.

Will Nix case before Supreme Court after new motion
A new motion for a new trial in the Will Nix case was heard. Judge Rawlings overruled the motion and the case was appealed to the Supreme Court. The prosecution was represented by Evans and Evans and the defense by Howard of Howard and Kent. The Supreme Court is expected to decide in May or June.

Mayors Matinee More Interesting. Frank Riley Found Dead in Bed
Frank Riley former Methodist pastor of Sandersville, recently in the insurance business, was found dead in bed in Atlanta from gas suffocation. Despondent from ill health, he had retired from ministry. He is survived by his wife and several children. City officials report Burns Jackson and Johnson bound over for trial. a separate fire destroyed a negro tenant house near Sun Hill owned by W. H. Avant, with John Gordon as occupant.

Two More Fires In County Sunday
Two more fires occurred in the county last Sunday afternoon. Mr. W. B. Waller's residence on the Gilmore place about five miles from Sandersville near the Deepstep road was completely destroyed and some furnishings were consumed. The residence was the property of Mrs. Julia Martin.
