Only standard hooks and lines, trot lines or artificial bait may be used. seines, nets or traps are curtailed with a 20 foot seine limit for bait. Exceptions include a 3 inch square mesh or carp and suckers in the Colorado River. Emergency clause attached. The Holy Home Demonstration Club met at the schoolhouse on Tuesday May 9 at 2 30 pm Two members were absent and two new members joined Miss Dry outlined the year s canning program and discussed the value of foods for family life The club will meet again on Tuesday May 23 at the home of Mrs L D Willborn Reporter
Mrs Clinton DeWolfe spent Sunday at Temple hospital with her husband Mr DeWolfe who is convalescing and will be several days before he can come home. There is no substitute for newspaper advertising.
Miss Louise Means daughter of Mr and Mrs Ed Means of the Colony community died in Temple hospital about 4 a m Tuesday May 23. Born March 26 1911 she had suffered ill health for some time Rev E E Thomson conducted the funeral service and the body was buried in Colony cemetery late in the afternoon Bodkin Little undertakers went to Temple after the service Pallbearers were Paul Parks W G Kolb Jr Leo Hubbert Jack Hubbert Vernon Millican and Leon Hartley.
R N Estep assumes sales and service management for the May tag machine in the San Saba area. He will keep stock of machines parts and a service department for all users and invites demonstrations, asking interested parties to call and visit.
