William Fletcher Barefoot 64 of Bend died Saturday December 10 after a long illness and was buried Monday in Bend Methodist Cemetery Funeral services were at 3 p.m. at Bend Methodist Church led by Rev W L White and Rev WP Anderson He was a farmer and rancher survived by wife one son Hilliard Barefoot of Bend granddaughter Mrs Jackie Zieter of Bend two sisters Mrs Dille Howard of Bermeta and Mrs Ith of Coleman and brothers J H Bud Barefoot Ed Barefoot shared in life in Milam County. Funeral services for William A. Jones retired farmer and longtime rural correspondent to the San Saba News were held Tuesday afternoon in San Saba with Minister R V Hamilton officiating. Jones died in his sleep early Sunday after years of ill health. He was born March 8 1870 in Lamar County and later moved to San Saba County. He married Emma Sut tan in 1892 and was a member of the Church of Christ. Pallbearers included Light Hoover James F Clark and Curtis Johnson. Burial followed in Terry Cemetery.
