Jane Sheldon, a three year honor student, won the Carver award at the South Pasadena senior high commencement. The $200 prize honors leadership, character and scholarship and was funded by Charles E. Carver. A committee of educators ministers and civic leaders unanimously selected her. She is 17 and the daughter of Mrs. Charles H. Sheldon.
