Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Dr. Coulter
Dr. Herbert M. Coulter of South Pasadena died Friday prompting a Tuesday service at St. James Church with Rev. T Raymond Jones. He served as medical inspector for South Pasadena schools and held multiple community roles including director of the Boys and Girls' Aid Society and Red Cross work in Los Angeles County. Born near Montreal on November 22 1877 he studied at the Collegiate School Winnipeg Chaffey College and the University of Minnesota earning his MD in 1903. He aided Red Cross relief in Siberia in 1919 helping relocate 800 refugee children and charted a rescue route via Japan to Finland.
