Kerckhoff, April recipient, is athletic commissioner of the ASB, four year Lettermen’s Club member, football co captain, Hi Y vice president, and lead in a junior year play. Garrett, May recipient, is Nettermen’s Club member, holds football and baseball letters, class president as a senior, and junior year Boys Forum Counselor member.

Charles E. Culver longtime secretary to Henry E. Huntington died June 3 at his Bellwood road home aged 69. A Oakland native and 20 year city resident he graduated from Los Angeles High School and was an office manager for a Los Angeles attorney. Survived by wife Nettie Culver three daughters Charlotte Streight Char lene Carlson and Marilyn Babcock and eight grandchildren. Funeral set for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Lake Avenue Congregational Church Pasadena with Forest Lawn Mortuary directing. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mother Of Mrs Young Dies In Havana Native
The death of Mrs. Tomasa Fernandez Aguirre de Vila a Havana native is reported. She died at her daughter Mrs. Morris W. Young on El Molino Avenue Sunday night May 26. A rosary and Requiem Mass were held at Holy Family Catholic Church South Pasadena with interment at San Gabriel Cemetery. Survivors include two sons Dr Ramon Fernandez De Ysla and Felix Fernandez De Ysla of Havana and several grandchildren including Capt Michael R Rogers of March Field Air Base and Morris John Young of this city.

Friends of Huntington Library Host Morgan Treasures
On Monday June 3 the Huntington Library hosted about four hundred Friends of the Library for a preview of the Pierpont Morgan Library exhibit Treasures from the Pierpont Morgan Library. Junius S. Morgan of New York spoke at 3 p.m. and Frederick B. Adams Jr. and Henry S. Morgan attended with Huntington officials. The 108‑item exhibit, marking the Morgan Library's fiftieth anniversary, will run through August 18 and is the sole Southern California venue among seven stops.
