A Christmas exhibition of rare Bibles and prayer books from Rev. Charles E. Fritz of Pasadena features a Hawaiian language Bible for the Sandwich Islands, a Dakota tongue Bible, a French Book of Common Prayer, two miniature books, a Holy Land New Testament with olive wood cover, 1738 Holy Bible scenes, a folding Polish book, and a Celtic cross with a bone corpus. Open daily 9 am to 9 pm except Sundays. library closes early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Resident Amelia Upshur Found Dead in Bed
Mrs. Amelia M. Upshur aged 70 of 1460 Park Place San Marino was found dead in her bed at 9 30 am Tuesday. The body was discovered by John G. Bobbitt the house boy and chauffeur after a failed morning check and the coroner will inquest to determine cause of death.
