Reed elected 1995 chairman of LA Area Chamber of Commerce
Charles C. Reed of San Marino was chosen as 1995 chairman of the board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Reed, executive VP at Alexander & Alexander California, will be installed at the Inaugural Ball January 13 at the Beverly Hilton. Also elected were 16 new directors including San Marino resident William C. Rusnack, ARCO Products president.

Starbucks to Install Two Stop Signs on Ridgeway Road
The Planning Commission approved Starbucks Coffee Company paying up to 750 dollars for two stop signs along Ridgeway Road after a sight distance analysis by Associated Traffic Consultants. The study found that while average speeds are low, the region still poses hazards at the Neck and the San Marino Avenue exit, prompting changes to traffic flow and restricted left turns onto Ridgeway Road.
