Pioneer Doctor William Wills Dies at 80 in San Marino
Dr. William LaMoyne Wills longtime Southern California civic leader and retired physician died at his home 2335 Monterey Road San Marino early Sunday from heart attack. Born Washington PA 1853 he studied at Harvard Washington and Jefferson Penn. Univ. and UPenn. He moved to California in 1883 joining local medical and social circles after a celebrated early career and notable family lineage.

Stoneman School children from three classes will perform Christmas carols at the Stoneman P T A meeting scheduled for Tuesday December 12 at 2 o clock. Mrs Luther T Bradford will speak on Children’s Books and a display will show books for younger readers. Mothers are asked to bring lists of names and authors of books their children enjoy. Hostesses are Mrs C H Teter and Mrs Harold Cake.

Dancing Under P.T.A. Aupsices Starts Today
Dancing classes for children in first to third grades run 8 to 4 on Friday afternoon at Sally Eckert Dance Studio 934 Huntington Drive. Delighting Chorus Members Host Evening Recital
The San Marino Chorus last met at the home of Dr and Mrs Eugene Maxon on Darby road. After rehearsal members offered an impromptu program with Mrs Robert Atkins reading and playing violin selections while Dr Maxon read two pieces. A Christmas supper followed with plum pudding coffee and Yuletide decor.

Lad Hurt In Altadena Motorcycle Crash With Telegraph Messenger
Vernon Smith stepson of Frank A. Smith foreman of The Tribune Printers was thrown from his motorcycle on North Lake Avenue Altadena after colliding with a car driven by Mrs Nailor. He suffered a broken leg and ankle a broken finger a badly cut nose and other bruises and was taken to Pasadena Hospital where he is reported recovering as well as might be expected.

Fire Destroys San Gabriel Country Club House
LeGrande Betts 83, accountant for the San Gabriel Country Club, died saving papers as a fire destroyed the club house early Monday. Betts entered the smoke to reach the office while colleagues, Tony Larson James Atherton and Louie Mitchell, warned him and tried to restrain him. His charred body was found beside a telephone at the lounge doorway after the floor collapsed.
