Police Arrest Former Resident For Crime Spree
A former local resident, Dion Marshall, 25, was arrested Nov. 13 in a joint San Marino Garden Grove operation and faces six Orange County robbery charges plus burglary and grand theft auto in San Marino. Authorities say he burglarized a War wick Road home, stole jewelry and weapons, and used a hotwired 1976 Cadillac Seville.

Chamber Seeks To Restore July 4th Aerial Fireworks
The San Marino Chamber of Commerce plans to ask the City Council to revive the aerial Independence Day fireworks display in 1987 after a ground show this year. Pyrospectacular of Rialto aims to obtain $1 million liability coverage, plus chamber insurance, to reassure safety concerns and address previous audience dissatisfaction with the ground show. The proposal was discussed at the November 24 meeting, with a decision pending council action at the next session on December 10.

Huntington Library Receives Hewlett Grant for Botany and Publications
