Huntington Middle Schoolers Explore Costa Rica Eco Tour
Twenty one Huntington Middle School students spent eleven days in Costa Rica on their third annual eco tour. They snorkeled off two deserted Cocos Islands with marine life including reef sharks and sea turtles, visited Las Pumas animal shelter, surfed Tamarindo Beach, and toured Tortuguero’s turtle hatcheries and a sea turtle research station. The trip included jungle canal cruises, eruptions at Arenal Volcano, Baldi Hot Springs, and a visit to Cloud School where students performed Costa Rican dances and shared a four corners game with local children.

San Marino Police arrested Floyd Person III after two burglaries at Huntington Pharmacy on August 9 and August 23. The 45 year old Los Angeles resident admitted stealing purses, with estimated losses around 1500 dollars. He was booked for commercial burglary at Twin Tower Detention Facility.
