A year after an Internet video inspired a new comedy, Dude! The Musical debuts in Alhambra at Wahib's Middle East Restaurant Dinner Theater. Undercover Officer Nabs Auto Burglar in Lacy Park
An undercover San Marino officer nabbed Jose Luis Mata after he smashed a BMW window in a Lacy Park lot and grabbed a purse. Mata, 25, of Downey, was booked in Alhambra for burglary assault with a deadly weapon resisting an officer, probation violation, and a hit and run.

Huntington Welcomes New Middle Schoolers Orientation
Huntington Middle School invites all incoming 6th to 8th graders and their parents to orientation on Monday, August 25 from 9 30 to 10 30 a m in the courtyard by the front office. Philanthropist George N Boone dies at 85
George N Boone, noted philanthropist and USC supporter, dies at 85 leaving a legacy in dentistry, medicine, and environmental studies. He and wife Mary Lou funded the Mary Lou and George Boone Gallery at the Huntington Library and helped convert a garage into the venue for evolving exhibitions. Boone began at USC as a transfer from Pasadena City College with Navy support for pre dental studies.
