Fire drill clinches Tritons comeback win at Trabuco Hills
San Clemente quarterback Cole Bergquist produced 266 yards and two touchdowns while Cheyne Verhagen ran 132 yards on 29 carries. Matt Mitchell threw a 13-yard TD to Verhagen as time expired to give No. 6 San Clemente a 28-20 South Coast League victory over Trabuco Hills at Thalassa Stadium. The dramatic finish followed a balky field goal snap and a late rally that started at the Triton 28 with 34 seconds left, highlighting perseverance and clutch plays.
