Ban on beach fires likely to be postponed
Public hearing on a proposed ban on beach fire pits in Orange and Los Angeles counties is likely to be delayed to July 12. South Coast Air Quality Management District staff recommend postponement to allow two public forums on June 13 in Newport Beach and June 14 in El Segundo. Spokesman Sam Atwood said the hearing may move to 8 a.m. July 12 in Diamond Bar.
