San Clemente Teams Earn Medals at State Games Softball
SCGS sent two All-Star squads to the State Games of America in San Diego August 4 to 7. The 12U Swat won gold with a 5-1 run including comeback wins over Rialto and Buena Park, then edged Buena Park 8-0 in the final after an 11-4 loss earlier. Sierra Garrett pitched the dor, completing an 8-0 title run. the 10U Splash took silver, going undefeated into the final before losing to El Rio, finishing strong at 35-4 overall.
