Genna gangsters jailed fourteen years for police slaying
Chicago, Nov 12. John Scolisi and Albert Anselmi of the Genna gang were found guilty of murder and sentenced to 14 years each for the police killing of Arnold Olson. The case connected to a wartime pistol battle also involved Charles Walab and Mike Genns, leaders and accomplices. State's Attorney Robert E. Crow had sought the death penalty and said Anselmi and Scolisi would face another murder charge in Walab's death. The defense argued self defense amid tense courtroom exchanges. The Gennas allegedly ran protection agreements to shield illicit operations.
