May Rainfall Sets Record at San Antonio Weather Bureau
Meteorologist J. Ad. Jarboe reports 18 rainy days in May so far, a new record for the period, with 20 days standing as the all time May record in 1935. May rainfall totals are light at 2.37 inches, while averages run 3.39 inches for May and 3.03 inches by May 27. Humidity runs well above average, with expectations of May humidity in the 70s. Moisture over the state and persistent moist air explain the unusual May conditions and lack of westward dry air intrusion.
