Austin May 20 Quiet reports from Director W A Little of the old age assistance commission estimate that a liberalizing pension bill awaiting Governor W Lee O Daniel's signature could add 50000 rolls. Money amounts show $3000 monthly for all, with avg $13 monthly now.

INDIANAPOLIS May 22 INS Bul McAtee 17 year old cornet player from Mount Vernon Township High School played in the national school music festival to honor his dying father. His doctor urged him to perform despite the tragedy, and after finishing his solo it was learned his father had died. He competed in the first division.
Washington May 23 The anti monopoly committee convened national insurance and banking heads to show how large corporations squeeze private capital and idle funds into institutional pools. Witnesses will argue savings are now largely institutional through insurers, trusts, and investment firms, with focus on who controls individual savings and how to aid small business, railroads, and housing in later hearings.
