Sam Shulsky on GoGo Funds and first quarter results
A stock writer cautions investors about young go go mutual funds after reviewing the Wiesenberger report on Nuveen first quarter results. The Dow dropped from 943.75 to 935.48 marking an 8.27 point loss. Many newer funds posted steep declines while older growth funds fared only slightly better. The piece warns against hot tips and notes large swings in 1968 versus early 1969.

Negotiation with potential buyers is needed as no brokers actively trade the stock, though officers have offered about 500 dollars. Book value is around 2000 dollars per share, but that may not set market price absent liquidation plans.
