A kitchen shower for Miss Peggy Dorberger, bride-elect, will be hosted at 7 20 p m Thursday by Miss Pam Hunt and Jean Anderson. The event will take place in Jean Andersons home at the State hospital superintendent's quarters with about 30 guests invited.
A daughter, Lady Gwendolyn, was born to Mr and Mrs William Walter Perron on Tuesday. Mrs Perron is the former Peggy Fabelets, daughter of Mr and Mrs M Ponder. Mrs E A Peon is the paternal grandmother.
Miss Marion Browne has selected June 5 as the date for her marriage to Lt Jack M Palmer. The ceremony will be at 8 30 p m in Christ Episcopal church with a reception in the Minuet room of the Menger hotel. Maid of honor is Miss Martha Riley of Natchez with bridesmaids including Miss Elisabeth Protzman of Houston Miss Jeannette Eckels of Poth Miss Dodie Gipson of Three Rivers LeGene Slover of Wadley Mexico and Annelle Kennedy and Doris Leary.
Mrs Hodges IPratty hosted a luncheon in her Randolph field quarters with gardenia decor. Guests included Mesdames Valle Nolte W Randall John Daniels B B Warviner W P Randolph Charles Dowman Byron Gates A L Jiarvey I F Harrison H B Philips and J Sprague. Mrs Harvey Ledlow and daughter June plan Saturday luncheon at Oak Hills Country club for Alamo Heights graduates Betsy Bonnet and Kathryn Young. about 20 guests expected.

Mrs John Porter Giles Jr visits Lubbock with her young son Jackie to spend two weeks with her mother Mrs W E Nesbit. They arrived last Wednesday. Mrs Giles is remembered as Miss Fairfax Jann Nesbit.
Mrs Kane and her baby Kathleen will depart Sunday with her parents Dr and Mrs J J Cegelski for their home in Washington. Mrs Kane is being feted at several informal events with luncheons and visits from friends including Miss Lucy Elizondo Miss Dorothy Kilawski and Mrs G R Richter. Others hostesses include Mrs Joe Palmer and Mrs Sam Vander Weide.
The Tuesday Musical club announced that members raised thirty thousand dollars toward the Anna Alerio memorial building fund at a luncheon presided by re elected president Mrs. E J Avent. Attendees wore varied finery including blue silks and hats with flowers as stories of family arrivals and missing earrings added local charm. Donnie and E E McClarren are due in New York harbor from Manila next week with Mrs Jesse J Newton to greet them.
Mr Ayres sisters Mrs James M Young Fr Worth the former Guesie Ayres and Mrs George Adrian Webster, late Anna Ayres, have been guests at the Ayres home for the past week. They will remain several more days as visitors.
