Bomb blasts shake downtown Belfast department store
A large bomb ripped Belfast's downtown shopping area injuring several and damaging the five story Canp department store on York Street. An army spokesman said unexploded devices may remain inside and warned of further risks. The blast damaged the Europa Hotel and a nearby cinema, with additional violence reported in Londonderry and Grosvenor Road as security forces evacuated and searched for hidden bombs.

McKee Indicted for Third Charge in Dallas Case
John McKee a former Dallas Crime Commission president is indicted on a third count alleging he swindled 449,989 from a Scottish Rite Judge. Dallas County grand jurors returned the indictment naming Janos Kell Zullinger alias John McKee as the defendant. The charge claims McKee used false pretenses to persuade a Dallas banker to sell shares of Grand Avenue Bank & Trust stock for 45,072 when valued at 910. McKee, once a bank director, is linked to the alias James Kell Zullinger who reportedly deserted the U S Navy in 1931. Authorities say he kept 45,012 despite an airline wires refund of 3,988.
