Mirror of Your Mind Advice on Trust and Hysteria
Lawrence Gould offers guidance on handling a spouse who lies or denies wrongdoing, noting that shaming may provoke resentment rather than change. He cautions that such a person cannot be trusted as a normal adult and emphasizes patience and warmth over reproach. The piece also explains hysteria as a psychoneurosis with dissociation, including amnesia and conversion, where parts of the mind lose awareness of others or the self.
