Army Orders 100 Bombers from Fort Worth Plant
The army air forces ordered 100 Bass bombers, the world's largest six engine craft able to carry 10,009 pounds of bombs and fly 10,060 miles. Built by Consolidated Vultee at Fort Worth, the first plane will roll off this week and join RAF tests in July.
