Six Jurors Chosen in Baylor Knife Slaying Case

Six jurors were selected after a 22-venireman examination for the trial of Howard M. Baylor of 211 Tegina Street. Army Orders 100 Bombers from Fort Worth Plant

The army air forces ordered 100 Bass bombers, the world's largest six engine craft able to carry 10,009 pounds of bombs and fly 10,060 miles. Built by Consolidated Vultee at Fort Worth, the first plane will roll off this week and join RAF tests in July. Convair president Harry Woodhead said production will reach one per week, delivering by mid 1849, part of the firm’s $337.6 million backlog.

Diploma at Allegheny honors Civil War veteran Robert Rownd
