President's Pollution Board to Visit Texas June 28
The Presidents Pollution Control Advisory Board will visit Texas June 28 for an on site review of pollution problems. The nine member panel, invited by Gov. Connally, will tour Dallas Fort Worth San Antonio Corpus Christi Galveston and other coastal areas. It will inspect abatement sites study water safety and industrial pollution controls as aerial surveys of streams and bays are planned.

Boots blamed in boy's train death on southwest side
Four year old Kevin Thomas was struck by a Mis sonci-Pacific freight train near W Hutchins street after confusing boots he wore one too large and one too small. Brakeman C. W. Hill described how the child crouched on the tracks and covered his face before the wheels passed over him. He was identified as the son of Mr and Mrs Paul Thomas of 1407 Datavenn eurcromu.

Coast Guard Rules May Allow Ski Belts With Life Preservers
An official from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Commission notes the Texas Water Safety Act requires a Coast Guard approved life preserver for each person aboard a boat but does not mandate gear to be worn. Ski belts may be used if an approved life preserver is on board and cushions remain tagged. Officials urge buyers to verify Coast Guard approval marks on flotation gear.

Man Held In Slaying Arranged On Murder Charge
Charles Edward Crockett, 18, of 1312 NW 18th, arraigned before Peace Justice J P Gutierrez on murder with malice. Remanded to county jail in View of 6000 bond.
