Toledo Ohio Electric Strike Ends After Wage Talks Begin
Workers at the Toledo power plant of the Toledo Edison Company ended a strike that shut down much of the area’s electricity. Negotiations for a wage increase will start in New Ford on Monday with approval from Henry L. Doherty Company officials. Officials reported pressure from labor and business groups helped end the stoppage which paused production and affected Toledo factories. Temporary pay arrangements were made for striking workers and office staff will return pending wage talks.
