The Weather Bureau forecasts San Antonio and surrounding areas will see Thursday morning temperatures within four degrees of freezing. After a low near 3 degrees Thursday, highs may reach 58, eight degrees above Wednesday’s expected maximum. A northeast wind brought cooler air and light rainfall earlier, with Wednesday morning readings around 40 after a 71 high on Tuesday.

Denver Feb 15 A summoned wife of Charles Boettcher II plans to visit police today to identify suspect Red Mitchell in the kidnapping of the 31 year old heir. Mitchell and accomplice George Zarlengo were arrested after police tied them to Eastern gangsters. Mrs Boettcher has previously picked Mitchell from photos.
United States ambassador to Mexico J Reuben Clark and his wife and daughter will detour through San Antonio for a brief stop Thursday morning. They travel from Mexico City to Washington in a Sunshine special car arriving at 7 30 am on Missouri Pacific rails. Col G D His accompanies the party as Missouri Pacific executive representative in Mexico.
In Danville Illinois on February 15 a foreclosure sale under a $1500 mortgage led to a riot. Auctioneer Nelson Stanley and Mulford Chief of Police Thompson were scratched and bruised as about a dozen men were knocked down. Seven deputy sheriffs quelled the disturbance until Sheriff Phelps arrived. The sale halted after the clash between Walter Morgeson Lenant and Kend a as two cent bids flew and William Shousler was tossed from the bidding wing during a 25 cent bid for a horse collar.
Chief Justice John J. Prystatski postponed until March 7 the case against Samuel Tasmi Sr and his brother Martin Tasmi on charges of larceny embezzlement and larceny by bafi. Continuations forced as Samuel Insull allegedly fled to Greece. Extradition hearing for Martin Tasmi from Canada set for March 8 in Ontario. State's Attorney Governor informed the court.
W R Hearst answers questions from a Japanese newspaper arguing that the United States will not join the League of Nations and resists entanglements abroad. He says America seeks peace, respects China’s sovereignty, but should avoid foreign wars and co responsibility for League actions against Japan.
Tokyo Yomiuri Shimbun correspondent Yasuo Puava in New York says W. R. Hearst is seen as a potent figure in American journalism and politics. He notes Hearst's anti immigration stance and America first posture, praising his influence on foreign policy and the Roosevelt election, while acknowledging conservative politicians view him with mixed regard.
