Woman Dies By Self Inflicted Asphyxiation In Alabama Home
Nell Gerhardt 31 of 134 Wickes Street wrapped a blanket over her head near a gas heater and died by her own action. Her body was found by her mother, note nearby, doctor and firefighters failed to revive her. She was widow of Edwin Gerhardt drowned at Medina Lake in 1924. Survivors include her mother, a son Edwin 14, and two brothers. Also a separate INS report notes 2680 square miles of U.S. forest planted since 1924.

Rescued from Gas Fatalities In Family Home
Mrs Anna Willams 28 and her children Patricia Ann and Tom Jr 2 were saved from asphyxiation after gas odors filled rooms at 1016 West Woodlawn Ave. Joe Goodman 1012 West Woodlawn Ave arrived and found the Williams family unconscious. Gas jets were open in several rooms and windows closed. Firemen revived the children with artificial respiration and Mrs Willams was treated at Robert B. Greer hospital.
