Juarez police investigate two death mysteries amid a week of violence. Manuel Alcanter, 30, a Juarez policeman, died from wounds after attempting to subdue a Christmas celebration. A soldier at Fort Hidalgo is being sought in connection with the officer's death. Simon Corral, described as a narcotics dealer, was found shot in the head, marking the fourth gangster to die violently in seven days.
Relatives of George B. Clark age 61 of 123 Armour pliner asked police to search for him after he disappeared Monday afternoon. Clark, wearing a brown suit and a light felt hat, left home for a short walk and had not returned by Tuesday noon. He is five feet three inches tall and about 135 pounds. His wife Mildred Clark reported the missing man to authorities.

Washington December 28 The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation reversed its earlier plan and will not publish the names of banks that qualify or fail to qualify for membership in the insurance plan. Chairman Walter J. Cummings said a special board meeting will certify the decision. Banks that qualify will receive certificates this week and may advertise the fact locally.
