Highsmay suit before appeal court over highway funds
In Austin on December 3 the Highsmay dispute over control of the Texas highway commission reached the Third Court of Civil Appeals. Oral arguments featured James E. Ferguson opposing Attorney General James V. Allred over an injunction blocking further road work and questions about highway fund deficits and fund discretion. Chief Justice J. Opera season fo a plan for San Antonio return
San Antonio will host its first opera season in two years as the Manhattan Opera company plans a matinee and two night performances in January at the municipal auditorium. Dates are pending. The program may include Madame Butterfly Cavalleria Rusticana and Hansel and Gretel. Stars and Tales to be announced.
