In Paris 72 year old Allen Stigler says he has counted milk squirts for decades. He estimates he has milked about 109,500 gallons in 45 years and 37,077,500 squirts while milking 10 to 17 cows twice daily. The item blends a quip on milk measurements with an ad for classified writing.
The five member civil service commission will hear City Detective C J O Neill at its regular meeting Thursday. O Neill, suspended over an alleged beating of a shell shocked veteran, denies the charge and promises startling revelations. He is represented by Leonard Brown. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hindes Nixon, who died at Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, were held from Porter Loring chapel. She resided in the area for 20 years and was wife of Rhea S. Nixon.
