Joint Venture in Faith Dedication Bridges Two Churches
In Saline on September 23 1972 the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross and Faith Lutheran Church prepare to dedicate a new shared building on Holy Cross land. The two congregations formed an ecumenical plan a year earlier providing a 36 by 43 foot multipurpose center with a basement adjoining Holy Cross. A community service and day care future are envisioned alongside the dedication service led by church leaders including Rev Henry Yoder and Canon Fletcher Plant. The Oct 1 4 pm community service will feature Rev Richard Emerich as speaker with an open house to follow.
