Phone Co plans $6 million expansion in eastern Michigan
General Telephone announces a 1969 program to spend over $6 million on local and long distance service upgrades in its eastern Michigan area including $2.5 million for the southeastern section. The plan lifts three year eastern Michigan expenditures to more than $18 million and covers eight districts with 46 exchanges.
