Seven Grade Hornets End Season With Tie At Dexter
Seventh graders under Coach Duane Koppelman finished 3-0-1 in league play and drew 0-0 with Dexter. The squad divided into four groups to play about a quarter each, gaining experience and a winning tradition after a season with wins over Dundee Lincoln and Milan and a loss in a scrimmage to Saline eighth graders.

Saline runners kept an undefeated dual meet record, beating Tecumseh 21 37 at home and Dundee 15 45 with Jeff Lewis winning both meets. Mikesell, Hafner, Smith and Martin also posted strong times while Sally sat out Dundee. The Hornets now prepare for the SEC League Meet November 1 at Inverness Country Club Chelsea seeking top team honors.

Mr and Mrs Dave Potter found nearly a dozen old bottles while a hydraulic lift was installed at their Community Ford shop. Three items surfaced, including a glass bottle imprinted with a Ypsilanti brewery and two crockery bottles stamped Dr Cronk, possibly from a medicine show.
