Detroit Wins Bid for 1966 Jaycee Convention
Detroit will host the Junior Chamber of Commerce national convention in 1966 after eight ballots at the national board meeting. Michigan's G Merritt Martin reported Detroit won by six votes on the final ballot, drawing more than 10 000 Jaycees and spouses. The Michigan group also backed a constitutional amendment allowing school prayer.

Saline City Council in a special meeting awarded the contract for additions to the sewage treatment plant to John F. Sadler of Milford as the low bidder. His base bid was 209,900, with an additional digester mixing system option bringing the total to 213,750. Completion is set for 365 days after approval.
